Because of this, Pench National Park is also called the “Land of Mowgli.”

The project is getting money and help from the Madhya Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board. This is a group that works to promote eco-tourism. What Is Special About This Statue?

The tiger statue is special because it is very big and it is made in a unique way. The statue is over 16 feet tall and more than 36 feet long. That means it is taller than two people standing on top of each other and longer than a bus. Before this, there had only been a single largest tiger statue in the United States. It is in Georgia. That statue is only 8 feet tall and 14 feet long. So, the tiger statue in Pench National Park is much bigger than that one.

Another reason this statue is special is because of the material used. It is made from old, broken things that people no longer use. This includes things like old bicycle parts, metal rods, pipes, and iron sheets. These things were once waste, but now they are being used to build something new. This is called upcycling. Reduce means using fewer things. We should never waste electricity, water, or anything. Reuse means using the same item again, like keeping food in jars instead of throwing them away. “Recycle” means to take old things and make new items from them.

The people making the tiger statue are following all these ideas. They reduced the use of new materials. They reused old scrap. They recycled waste items into art. It shows that all people can follow the 3Rs every single day.

What Were The Challenges?

Constructing a tiger out of metal is difficult. It takes plenty of time and effort. One of the largest challenges the group struggled with was the tiger's face. The facial features are the most important part of the tiger statue. It had to show calmness and strength at the same time.

But metal is hard, and most of it was already bent or damaged. It was not easy to shape it into smooth or soft-looking features. The team had to cut, bend, and join the metal very carefully. Each weld, or metal joint, had to be placed in the right spot. The workers had to be very patient. The team worked on the tiger for a considerable amount of time. Sometimes, making even small modifications lasted hours. But the workers continued working, and were able to work through each of the pieces of the tiger bit by bit, slowly.
